John Savage, President 
(Ashcroft)
An educator and network specialist for 30+years, John is IT Administrator (Ret.) for School District No. 74. Mr. Savage’s industry alliances include directorships with the BC Community Connectivity Co-op and the Pacific Community Network Association. In addition, he has established strong relationships with numerous ministries within both the provincial and federal governments. He is most interested in building community economic capacity and spends much of his time promoting cooperative enterprises in the region.
 
 

 Fran White, Vice President 
(Clinton)
Fran is the former Branch Head for the Thompson Nicola Regional District Library system with 29 years experience. Active and involved in her community, Fran is a founding member and director of Nicola Valley Museum and Archives Association, President of the Clinton Health Care Auxiliary, director for the Clinton Cowboy Poetry Committee and a founding member and past president of the Nicola Valley Community Arts council. Fran has also served as a Governor on the Thompson Regional Health Board. 
 
 
Ron Hood, Secretary Treasurer
(Ashcroft)
With an extensive background in banking and commercial credit, including six years as CEO of a multi-branched rural credit union, Mr. Hood brings a solid and proven record of financial, administrative and human resource management to the Council. For the past 15 years, Mr. Hood has been in private practice as a community economic development and a small business consultant. Ron serves and has served as a consultant in economic development, in small business planning and in organization management and holds various public service directorships.
 
 
Pat Miller, Former President 
(Sun Peaks)
Pat is an innovative telecommunication specialist with a broad range of interests and activities involving the high tech industry and its positive economic impact on communities. As Sun Peaks Utilities Manager, she oversaw the sleepy hills of Todd Mountain become the high tech community of Sun Peaks.
Walt Cobb, Director
(Williams Lake)
Having owned his own business since 1969, Walt is an active and respected member of the Williams Lake business community. Walt entered politics in 1980 and after 16 years as a Councilor, and then Mayor, he left to run provincially and was elected MLA for the South Cariboo region. Leaving the political arena during the last election, Walt continues to support Williams Lake as a volunteer and belongs to numerous community organizations including the Chamber of Commerce and the Williams Lake Business Improvement Association.
  
  Peter Grauer, Director  
  (Kamloops) 
Peter spent the better part of his career as a manager for the City of Kamloops where he made considerable strides towards placing Kamloops at the forefront of environmental initiatives in areas such as: Alternative fuels, energy management, green transportation, water conservation and waste water management. Peter now runs his own consulting business, Tillicum Management Services, and is a noted historian and writer. His latest book “Interred With Their Bones” was published in the summer of 2006.
  Kevin Kierans, Director  
 (Kamloops)
Currently the director of Libraries for the Thompson Nicola Regional District, Mr. Kierans has always recognized the important role access to current information can play in the social and economic well-being of communities. He was the former Manager of Library Services for the Cariboo-Thompson-Nicola Library System and before that, Chief Librarian of Chetwynd B.C. As such, he is well acquainted with the challenges as well as the opportunities presented in the Interior’s distances, geography and climate.
 
 
      Nick Sardy, Director
      (Williams Lake) 
Nick, an IT innovator and industry leader, was responsible for introducing the Internet to Williams Lake in 1994 and was the first internet service provider in the area. With an extensive knowledge of computer systems and their operations, Nick continues his internet and technology work as owner/operator of the Computer Access Centre and publisher of the Cariboo Computer Magazine. A former member of the Canadian Coastguard, Nick continues to be an active member in his community through various Board positions.
Dr. Thomas E. Dickinson, Director (Kamloops)
Professor of Biology at Thompson Rivers University, Dr. Dickinson has an extensive understanding and appreciation for the role research plays in the innovation process. Tom is well versed in all research related matters, including the Tricouncil granting agencies, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and the Canada Research Chair program. Dr. Dickinson is well respected and has worked extensively with the NRC and Western Economic.

  Bill McQuarrie,
  Executive Director
A senior executive with demonstrated skills in facilitating cooperative solutions to complex problems, Bill brings a seasoned perspective and management style to ISIC. Throughout his working career Bill has started and sold several of his own companies. At ISIC he now manages a project portfolio valued in the millions and is responsible for a territory that extends from Bella Coola on the Pacific Coast, east to the Alberta border, and North to the City of Williams Lake and South to the Village of Yale.
      Amanda Olson
       Project Coordinator
A graduate of Thompson Rivers University, Amanda uses her fine tuned research and organizational skills to assist the ISIC team on various projects and administrative tasks. Through the completion of a major in psychology she has learned to appreciate the scientific method and the effect innovation can have on people's lives.
